A role as an outsider in the Swiss National Volleyball
The men’s Swiss team will play the World Championship standings in a tournament in Zagreb. However, their chances of qualifying in Group E seems very few.
The victory, would be synonymous of a direct classification to the final phase, they can’t let off the team of Serbia. The serbians will come with all their best players and they start as a favorite.
Other countries will fight to qualify in second place, giving way to the third qualifying round.
The Swiss team, now led by Mario Motta (Lugano coach), will play a foreign role. His journey will begin against Denmark before facing Croatia, Serbia, Belarus and, finally, Norway.
“This will be a good experience for our team,” says Anne-Sylvie Monnet, director of Swiss Volley. Switzerland will not be able to count with two important players: Simon Hofstede (Schönenwerd) and Jérôme Fellay (Amriswil) due of their injuries.
