The new R-SHOCK device  differs from all other tecartherapy devices because of its all-in-one electrode. An electrode – 3 effects: defibrosing, analgesic, trophicity… as its electrode allows an all-in-1 effect: capacitive, resistive and even pulse (equivalent to electrostimulation). Therefore its targeted action can be multiple: localized, superficial, deep or purely analgesic. It is even possible to combine those actions !

This also a major aspect of the difference between R-SHOCK and previous equipments: it allows a more accurate management of analgesia effects. With R-SHOCK, you can decide to only have PULSE (low frequency) in order to target only an analgesic effect, without using tecar energy (w/o generating heat). The PULSE + mode allows you to work the analgesia effect at three different levels (superficial, medium or deep).

More comfort for the therapist and the patient

This analgesic input is particularly useful in cases of acute pain, when it is almost impossible to touch the patient as pain is strong, because R-SHOCK lowers the pain threshold. Then, during treatment, this effect makes it possible to go faster, while offering more comfort to the patient, who has less pain. It is then possible to combine the PULSE + with your manual work, or to continue with TECAR while benefiting from its thermal and biological effect.

The therapist can also decide to mix TECAR energy and PULSE to obtain analgesia effect but also revascularization (pressure relief on the nociceptors). With R-SHOCK and its new features, a mode exists to alternate two seconds of TECAR and two seconds of PULSE, for a more  precise management of the analgesic effect. This makes R-SHOCK even more effective in reducing fibrosis (such as scars) or in dealing with joint fibrous problems (eg. tennis elbow), also thanks to its punctiform use technique.

An intelligent device

Another novelty that makes manual work easier: R-SHOCK adapts to always deliver the same amount of energy, calculated by the return electrode. This ensures significant efficiency regardless of distance or resistance, throughout the treatment. It allows the practitioner to optimize his session and allows him to perform a much shorter treatment. This constant energy facilitates the manual work of the therapist and also eliminates any risk of burns for the patient. Analgesia according to R-SHOCK is therefore rather to be considered as pain desensitization, allowing very comfortable work for the patient and the therapist.

Due to all thiese benefits, in a specialized cabinet with the R-SHOCK, it now represents 90% of the use during TECAR treatments against 10% with the BACK1. On two physiotherapists, it represents 18 uses per day (between 5 and 10 minutes per treatment)! Its mobility is very appreciated, the treatment time is shorter and the therapists can easily share one R-SHOCK device, which occurs an optimal output.
